2012 New York DB is a hot prospect

Brooklyn (N.Y.) Erasmus Hall Campus cornerback Wayne Morgan is heading into his junior season with big expectations.
As of the top defensive back prospects from New York in recent memory Morgan will have the spotlight shining brightly on him all year long.

Boston College, UConn, Maryland, Miami, Penn State and Rutgers have all verbally offered the 5-foot-10, 188-pound corner and more schools are sure to get involved. In fact, three high profile programs from different parts of the country are starting to show interest.
"I'm getting interest from UCLA, Florida and Notre Dame," Morgan said this week. "I don't have any favorites."
Morgan had a busy summer that included a trip to Penn State for a NIKE Camp and two trips to Rutgers.
Penn State verbally offered him after his camp performance, so he obviously impressed while he was in town.
"I was going up against some good guys but I guess they liked me," Morgan said, referring to his experience at Penn State.
"I liked it up there. I like how their campus looks. I went in their weight room and the facilities look good. I didn't get to go all around the school but where I was I liked it."
Morgan has become quite familiar with Rutgers, both the school and the football program, and he said he is taking a hard look at the Scarlet Knight as well.
This fall he plans on attending games at Penn State, Rutgers and West Virginia, if he is able to.
