2012 NC lineman is gaining interest

Recruiting is beginning earlier and earlier and one 2012 prospect in North Carolina is getting looks from a number of schools. Who's checking out the 6-foot-6, 285-pounder?
"I went to North Carolina's two-day camp and the line coach and head coach seemed pretty interested in me," Randleman, N.C. rising junior offensive tackle Joel Suggs said. "I know my coach has been talking to the guys from Vanderbilt, East Carolina, NC State and Wake Forest."

As interest just starts to pick up, does Suggs like anybody?
"I've tried to follow North Carolina for some years," he said. "I've always been a North Carolina basketball fan.
"I like the Citadel, my brother just graduated from there and played football there. I like Appalachian State a lot. I would really like to play for an ACC or SEC school. I will play for any school that gives me a scholarship."
Suggs is coming off a solid sophomore season in which he earned all-county and all-conference honors.
"I think I did well, I started every game," he said. "I still want to improve on my technique and make it as perfect as it can get. I also want to get a little faster."
A versatile athlete, Suggs plays basketball and does the shot putt in track for Randleman. He made it to the conference meet in the shot putt this past season.
