Recruiting is already picking up for a select few 2012 recruits. One of those is Brandywine (Md.) Gwynn Park wide receiver Brandon Banks.
"Towson has offered me and from what I'm hearing Maryland is going to offer," he said. "When I went to Maryland's camp, they said they want to see my first three games."
Meanwhile, what does he think about Towson?
"It's a good offer," he said. "I've got a couple former teammates at Towson. I'm trying to save my parents money. It's a huge load to have the offer and know my parents aren't going to have to pay for me to go to school."
To date, the only other school showing interest in Banks is Richmond.
However, the 5-foot-11, 146-pounder is intrigued by a few other schools.
"I want to go to Miami, that's my dream school. I've wanted to go there since I remember picking up a football," he said. "I follow Clemson as well as Middle Tennessee where my brother is. I like Clemson cause I can stay focused and focus on my books and football."
Banks is coming off a solid sophomore year in which he posted approximately 12 receptions and five touchdowns.
"I played defense last year too and I actually want to go to school as a cornerback," he said. "I think I have good height and speed there."
Banks is a talented track athlete too that earned all-county with his 4x2 team.
