2012 DT Goldman takes unofficial

2012 defensive tackle Eddie Goldman is racking up scholarships. The Washington (D.C.) Friendship Collegiate Academy lineman just came back from an unofficial visit down south.
"I left on Sunday and came back Tuesday morning from Miami," he said. "It was good. I just went to their camp, but the heat kind of got to me, so I sat out a bit. After that I toured around Miami and went to the beach."

Goldman went into detail on the visit.
"It wasn't what I expected because you hear about Miami a lot and you think it's a huge school," he said. "The campus wasn't that big. Overall though it's a good school and I could see myself going there.
"I was impressed with the head coach (Randy Shannon). He was just real cool. He knows how to talk to people and he gets to know you as person and not just a player."
Goldman spent time with the assistants as well.
"I talked to the defensive line coach and that was good too," he said. "He talked about technique and using my hands and how good defensive linemen have good hands."
Overall it was a good trip to see the Hurricanes.
"It's a beautiful place with lots of people, a very busy town," he said. "The culture there is so ruthless at the school, that's another reason I like it."
Goldman claims that no other visits are planned at this time this summer.
However, offers continue to roll with the latest coming from Georgia putting him at around 25 to 30 scholarships.
With so many offers, does Goldman like anybody?
"It's just so overwhelming. I'm just trying to focus on my upcoming season."
