2012 ATH gaining more interest

Junior athlete Canaan Severin of Worcester (Mass.) Worcester Academy has had his Boston College offer for months, but recently a number of schools from coast to coast have also begun to show serious interest.
"Recruiting has been going well," said Severin. "A lot of schools have been contacting me through mail and what not, so I'm definitely happy about that."

Aside from Boston College, Severin mentioned that LSU, Oregon, Maryland, Boise State, Penn State, Alabama, Nebraska, Stanford, Virginia, Iowa, UConn, and NC State have begun to show him more interest. Is anyone else close to pulling the trigger with an offer?
"Maryland is in the process of deciding whether they will offer," said Severin, who is 6-foot-2 and 215 pounds.
During the summer, Severin attended camp at Boston College, and he gave an update on his fall visits.
"I was going to go to UConn and Tennessee, but had to go to a basketball tournament in Vegas," said Severin. "I attended the Boston College/Notre Dame game, which was packed. That game was pretty cool. And I plan to go to Penn State against Michigan on Halloween weekend."
On the field, Severin has helped Worcester Academy to a quick start.
"The season is going really well," he said. "We're 3-1 and our next game is against Salisbury this week, so we need to come ready to play because they're a really good team."
During the first four games of the season, he has noticed an improvement in his skills from last season
"I feel so much bigger and faster than last year, and I get open way easier," said Severin. "I have an even better burst."
Through these four games, Severin has totaled 18 receptions for 260 yards and 2 touchdowns.
