Kadetrix Marcus is a safety prospect in the Class of 2011 from Powder Springs, Georgia. Marcus, 6-0 and 180 pounds, plays at Hillgrove High School.
"We are 6-2 on the season and we need to win both our remaining games to go to playoffs," Marcus said. "I think I am off to a good start. I am mainly playing safety and some outside linebacker too. I have gotten faster, stronger, bigger and smarter. I have improved with my ability to read the offense and read the play. I am tackling better and more of a run support guy at this stage."
Although Marcus doesn't have any scholarship offers at this time he's still drawing plenty of interest from many schools in both the region and across the country.
"I'm getting a ton of interest from schools like Georgia Tech, South Carolina, and Syracuse, letters from Georgia and UCLA, and emails from Maryland. There is a lot of interest out there.
"I like schools like (Georgia) Tech. I have been to games there. I like the secondary, especially Morgan Burnett. I like their defense as a while. The coaches and players are cool.
"Overall, I am looking at the coaching staffs, tradition and academics. School environment is important. But at this point it really doesn't matter. I like them all."
Marcus was scheduled to visit Maryland for their recent game versus Virginia but he had to cancel the visit.
