2011 OT Holts picks up second offer

The Kentucky Wildcats offered Indianapolis (Ind.) Warren Central's Kiaro Holts Monday, joining Virginia Tech on the offensive tackle's early offer list.
"I haven't really talked to anyone at Kentucky about it, they told my coach today at about 1 PM that they were going to offer," Holts said. "I have not visited their campus yet."

Once place Holts has seen is Virginia Tech. Holts and a few of his teammates impressed at a summer prospect camp in Blacksburg.
"I sent them some film and they offered me two of three weeks ago," Holts said. "Their camp was great. I really liked their campus, it is big. I like their offensive and defensive line coaches too, they were nice. They want me as an offensive tackle."
"Other than that, I haven't really been talking to other schools. I am focusing on the playoffs. The only school I have been talking to is Virginia Tech."
Holts is getting early interest from other schools, however. Ohio State, Purdue, Iowa, Michigan, Stanford, Northwestern, and Illinois are all in contact, according to Holts.
"Ohio State and Virginia Tech are schools that I root for. I also like Florida. I just love how much those schools win and the support they have from their fans."
Holts is a physical offensive tackle that takes pride in run blocking.
"My strength is getting to the next level and being able to block linebackers," Holts said. "We have a really good offense, and good quarterback and a great running back in Shakir Bell. We play Center Grove this weekend. Last time we played them, we had more than 300 yards rushing."
Warren Central plays Center Grove on Friday night in the semifinals of the IHSAA CLass 5A state football playoffs.
