2011 DB takes visit, adds offers

Lorton (Va.) South County junior safety Ronny Vandyke has seen his recruitment pick up recently. In addition, the 6-foot-3, 185-pounder is starting to hit the junior day circuit and took his first visit last weekend.
"I just visited Virginia," he said. "It was good. I talked to the new head coach and he seems like a great coach. He mentioned to everybody there how the players graduate and about being a good citizen. They also offered me."

The Cavaliers are just the latest scholarship for Vandyke who's up to nearly double-digits with Boston College, Maryland, Syracuse, Virginia Tech, West Virginia, Pittsburgh and Rutgers as well.
Are any other trips coming up for the rising defensive back?
"I'm going to Pittsburgh on the 21st of February and Virginia Tech on the 27th."
Vandyke maintains no leaders at this time.
"I like all the schools," he said. "I'm just trying to get to these junior days to get more information on all the schools."
The Virginia prospect missed his junior year of football due to injury. Vandyke plans to have surgery in the near future.
