2010 Virginia lineman takes an unofficial

2010 offensive tackle Marquis Wallace took an unofficial visit last week. The 6-foot-3, 298-pounder stayed in-state and made his way to Charlottesville. The Richmond (Va.) Varina prospect plans to take a few more visits in the near future.
"I went down to Virginia this past Thursday," he said. "I met the whole coaching staff. It was a fun trip. It was great. I talked to Coach Groh and Mike Groh. Coach Groh is one of the smartest coaches I've met so far.

"They talked about me on the offensive line and defensive line. I think they are favoring defense, but they want to look at more film."
Wallace also recently contacted Maryland.
"I called Coach Brattan and he was happy to hear from me," he said. "I'm thinking about taking a visit up there on July 21st."
Wallace is making further plans for visits in the coming weeks and months.
"I was going to go to Virginia Tech for camp on July 12th, but I'm starting a new job that day," he said. "I plan to make it to Georgia on July 18th as well.
"I'm starting to think about fall visits too. I talked to Virginia about coming to the UVA/USC game. I'm going to try to make it to Tennessee, Virginia Tech, Maryland and North Carolina games. I haven't been to any real games yet, I've only gone to spring games."
