2010 standout favors four

When it comes to defensive backs in the class of 2010 Marvin Robinson will be one of the most coveted in the nation. Robinson, 6-2 and 195 pounds, is a safety prospect for East Lake (Fla.) Lake Region High School. He recorded 70 tackles and four interceptions this season. He also started on offense, scoring six touchdowns rushing and receiving.
"I started both ways and played running back and in the slot," Robinson said. "But everyone is recruiting me as a safety. "I read plays and tackle well. I can cover the field. I actually play free safety like centerfield but I can also come into the box and play the run. I can also play sideline to sideline."

According to Robinson he already has scholarship offers from Michigan, Ohio State, Nebraska, North Carolina, Florida International, Cal, Florida, and UCLA. There are four teams that standout.
"I am surprised that I have gotten this kind of attention already. I thought it would happen but happen much later. Right now I would say I have four favorites – North Carolina, Michigan, Ohio State and Florida.
"I like the coaches at UNC. I went there for unofficial visit (when they played N.C. State) with my parents and we all really liked it. The coaches are really cool and I like the players. They are spiritual as well.
"I went to Michigan for their home game against Michigan State. I talked with the coaches and we have stayed in touch. I talk and email with coach (Rich) Rodriguez all the time. We have gotten close and have built a close relationship.
"I like the coaches at Ohio State. I talk with coach (Taver) Johnson a lot. I like their academics and football tradition.
"I like the entire coaching staff at Florida, especially coach (Charlie) Strong. We keep in touch a lot. They are very cool coaches. The team is real good and very well coached.
"I don't plan to make a decision any time soon. I plan on riding it out."
Robinson has been to the Ohio State spring game. He has also been to games at Florida and Florida State.
