2010 QB claims Penn State offer

McKees Rocks (Pa.) Sto Rox quarterback Paul Jones took in the Penn State-Illinois game earlier this season in Happy Valley and he came away very impressed with what the Nittany Lions had to offer.
While the 6-foot-2, 212-pound junior pro-style quarterback did not leave Penn State with an offer, he said he has since picked up a scholarship from Joe Paterno and the coaching staff.

Jones already held offers from Duke, Iowa, NC State, Pitt and Stanford.
"I still have offers from all of them and Penn State now," he said. "They gave me a verbal offer during the season. I went to a Penn State game earlier this year as well as games at Pitt and Michigan. All of them went well."
Jones is hearing from dozens of schools across the country in addition to those that have already offered. With his season now over he can start to think about the recruiting process a little bit more.
"We lost in the first round of the playoffs. On the year I had 2,038 yards and 24 touchdowns in the spread (offense)," he said.
Jones said he does not have any plans to take any other visits in the foreseeable future, nor does he have any favorites.
