2010 OT has Terps on top

As a current junior at Frederick (Md.) Tuscarora it is not especially surprising that offensive tackle Hansen Barrick would be familiar with the Maryland football program.
The 6-foot-6, 312-pound lineman from the Class of 2010 visited Maryland and two other schools during the football season. Right now the home state school is at the top of his list.

"Over the season I went to Maryland, Virginia and Georgia," Barrick said. "Maryland was nice. I had been there before so I already knew the coaches. I got to say hi to them again and I like them a lot.
"Virginia was nice, too. I like the campus and the coaches seemed really good.
"With Georgia, I liked it a lot, actually. The campus was really nice and the coaches seemed really fired up. The other schools tried to sell me on things a little more but the Georgia coaches seemed a little more fired up.
"I would say Maryland is probably my favorite. I like the set up of the facilities. Everything's in one spot. At the other schools you have to ride a bus to get to the training facilities and at Maryland they're just in one spot. It seemed really convenient."
Barrick was at Maryland on October 18 for the Terps' game against Wake Forest. He was at Virginia on November 15 for their game against Clemson, and attended the Georgia-Georgia Tech game in Athens in late November.
He does not have any plans to visit any other schools in the near future.
"I've been getting mail from a lot of other places," he said. "I've probably gotten the most from Boston College, UConn and Virginia Tech."
Tuscarora finished 8-2 on the season and lost in the first round of the playoffs.
"They had me mostly on offense but I played a little defense in goal line situations. Just as the season went by I got a lot quicker from the beginning of the year."
