2010 OT Davis takes a few visits

2010 offensive tackle Conner Davis out of Glen Allen (Va.) Deep Run has visited a number of schools in the past few weeks. Where has the 6-foot-5, 250-pounder been on visits?
"I recently went to the Virginia Tech-Virginia game this past Saturday just in the stands, I wasn't a visitor," he said. "I also went to the Virginia-Miami game, Wake Forest-Virginia game and the Ohio State-Michigan game.

"I thought the Virginia/Virginia Tech game was really good. Vic Hall did really well. I thought Tech did really well too. Boone played quarterback and it was a fun time.
"The other visits were good too. Virginia didn't pull it out in any of the games I saw. I did like Virginia a lot when I went there for the Miami game. The facilities are nice and they showed us around."
What did Davis think of Wake Forest and Ohio State?
"Wake Forest was nice too," he said. "It's a really nice school. My friend Jordan Love thought I'd like it there. That's one of the nicest schools I've seen so far. They redid the stadium and the coaches were friendly.
"At Ohio State, that's a totally different atmosphere. I've never seen a city care so much about a program like Ohio State. That's some big-time football."
Davis hasn't landed an offer to date, but one school may be close.
"The only school mentioning it is Wake Forest," he said. "They liked my film and want to evaluate more."
The junior prospect helped his team to a 9-1 record.
"It was a really good year. We didn't make that playoffs and that was kind of devastating," he said. "A lot of us thought we could do better, I think in a few more weeks we'll be really excited with how we did.
"I think I did well. It was my first year at offensive tackle and I earned first team all-district."
