2010 OL with one offer

Chaz Green will be one of the top offensive line prospects from the Sunshine State in the Class of 2010. Green, from Tampa (Fla.) Catholic, plays offensive tackle. This 6-6 and 280 pounder, already has one scholarship offer.
"USF offered me a while ago," Green said. "They are a local school and I really like the coaches. They run some of the same stuff we do. That staff is also pretty close with coach (Bob) Henriguez (Tampa Catholic head coach)."

Green says Florida, Alabama, Auburn, Michigan, Notre Dame, Miami, and Boston College are some of the other schools that are showing interest and recruiting him.
Last season as a sophomore, Green played for Palm Harbor University School. He decided to transfer to Catholic and has had a good first season there.
"I really like the school and the environment. I was ready for a change and had some friends at TC. It's about a 40 minute drive but not really that bad. They all welcomed me with open arms."
Green has really grown over the past six months or so. Over the summer he was in the 260 range.
"Actually, I am about 30 pounds heavier now. I still have that athletic ability and I am physical out there. I have only played football for two years so I am still learning. I enjoy playing defense but I really think (offensive) tackle is the best position for me in college."
Green is new to the game of football because he was always a basketball player.
Green missed most of the first half of the regular season with a bad ankle sprain.
This past summer he camped at USF and Florida and he also attended football games at South Florida and Florida during the summer.
