2010 Ohio DB had big junior year

While there are still plenty of talented prospects from the Buckeye State's Class of 2009 available and receiving attention from various schools, some are starting to look toward the current crop of juniors.
Centerville, Ohio defensive back John Ehrensberger has all the physical tools to be a nice player at the next level.

At 6-foot and 180-pounds, he has run the 40-yard dash in 4.42 seconds and has a knack for making plays. Ehrensberger led Centerville to a 7-4 record this year before they lost in the first round of the state playoffs. On the year he recorded 87 tackles, 34 of which were solo stops.
"I played safety and was at cornerback for a couple of plays. I did kick returns and punt returns, and next year they're thinking about putting me on offense so I can go both ways," he said.
"All in all it was an okay season. We beat our big-time rivals on senior night, so that was exciting. I think I really improved my awareness and my speed."
While Ehrensberger's schedule was largely dominated by football and academics, he did manage to check out a few schools this fall.
"This year I visited Purdue, Ball State and Indiana. I've been hearing a lot from Maryland and Rutgers as well.
"I'm thinking about maybe visiting some other schools like Penn State and Wisconsin. I'm really hoping to hear from Penn State and Ohio State. Those are the two I'd really like to hear from a lot."
"With Penn State, I just love their coaching style and their team unity. It's one team, no names (on the jerseys) and a great atmosphere. The fans love it. I grew up going to Ohio State games, being from here."
