The rankings for the Class of 2010 have not yet come out but when they do it's a safe bet that Wheaton (Md.) Good Counsel cornerback Louis Young will be near the top of his state's rankings.
The 6-foot-1, 198-pound defensive back is now up to four offers after receiving some good news from a school on the other side of the country.
"Stanford (verbally) offered me on Saturday," Young recalled. "They told my coaches and then my coach told me during practice. They called my coach and I got on the phone during lunch.

"That's one of the schools I might like to end up at because of the academics there. My parents and family like Stanford because of all the opportunities there, so they will definitely be one of my options."
While Young said he does not have a favorite or a list, two schools have managed to emerge as apparent front runners at this stage. That, however, is obviously subject to change at such an early point in the process.
"I don't have a list yet but I really like Boston College and Maryland right now," he said.
"I like Boston College because of the coaches there and the atmosphere. I work out with Coach Haden and his son goes there, so we have a connection. That helps a lot.
"With Maryland, it's close to home and I go up there a lot. I have a good relationship with the coaches."
A few other schools may be close to offering Young. The talented corner also plans on taking a few trips this summer to get a feel for what schools have to offer.
"Yeah, I think Penn State, Virginia and probably Pittsburgh are close to offering. My coach has told me there are some other schools too, like Wake Forest.
"I'm going up to Maryland for a few games this year. I'm going to Virginia Tech for a game and I'm going up to Boston College with my teammate E.J. Scott, too. I'll probably go out to Stanford for a game as well."
While it's too early for Young to start thinking about a decision, he did say he may make an early announcement sometime next spring.
