2010 Maryland ATH likes Wake

Wake Forest's success under head coach Jim Grobe has taken the program to new heights, and high school prospects have a newfound respect for the Demon Deacons.
One such prospect is athlete E.J. Scott of Wheaton (Mary.) Our Lady of Good Counsel. The 5-foot-11, 168-pound prospect from the Class of 2010 runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds and may be one of the best athletes in the region for his class.

As a sophomore he caught eight passes for 228 yards and three touchdowns. Those numbers should rise dramatically this fall as he gets more opportunities and continues to develop.
"Just this Friday I talked to Boston College," Scott said. "They came through and told me they saw my film and liked it a lot. They want me to go to their one-day camp. I don't know which one I'll go to yet. I've talked to Pitt and I've talked to Wake Forest too."
Scott said he is interested in all three of those schools, but one is standing out above the rest.
"I'm pretty open, I kind of like everybody," he said. "But I like Wake a lot. I just like the spread offense with the four receivers. They could use me as a slot and I'd probably get the ball a lot. But my options are open.
"I'm definitely going to the Pitt camp, the Wake camp, Boston College and probably Virginia. Those are the four I'll go to."
Scott plays both safety and wide receiver for Our Lady of Good Counsel but said he likely projects as a receiver in college.
