2010 LB up to four offers

Raleigh (N.C.) Southeast is known for playing good defense by those who follow high school football in North Carolina's Piedmont region, and Class of 2010 linebacker Kendall Moore is a big reason they are continuing that tradition this year.
The 6-foot-1, 225-pound linebacker has a long time before he needs to start seriously thinking about where he would like to attend college, but he has already picked up four scholarship offers.
Moore has received offers from Maryland, North Carolina, NC State and Wake Forest, with the latest coming from the Terrapins.
"I think two Tuesdays ago I received an offer from Maryland," Moore explained. "It was supposed to be a surprise. Their coach called mine and my coach was going to surprise me with it, but I talked to my friend Demetrius Hartsfield. He went to Maryland last year and he didn't know he wasn't supposed to tell me."
Is Hartsfield presence a big draw to College Park for Moore?
"It's pretty big," Moore admitted. "He calls me all the time and tells me how much he likes it up there. He definitely has an influence."
Maryland isn't the only school pushing hard for Moore. Other schools from the region that haven't offered are making their interest evident and more scholarships should be on the way soon.
"East Carolina said they're real close to offering. One of their coaches came here a couple of games back. I've been talking to Virginia a lot and I talk to South Carolina a little bit, too.
"Everybody is even right now. So far I've been to NC State for their game against East Carolina and LSU for their game against Mississippi State. My cousin plays for Mississippi State so I wanted to get out there and see them. That was real fun. Recently I went to the North Carolina-Notre Dame game as well.
"At UNC, I talked a lot with Coach Thigpen, their linebackers coach. He said they were real excited about me. They had a lot of recruits up there that had already committed, like the big defensive end, Donte Moss."
On the year Moore has recorded 70 tackles and scored four touchdowns on offense. In his last game he caught five passes for 75 yards.
