2010 LB claims first official offer

2010 prospect are already starting to pull in scholarships. One of those is a Hampton Roads linebacker who landed in his first offer from the Big East late last week.
"I got an offer on Thursday or Friday from West Virginia," Norfolk (Va.) Lake Taylor linebacker Travis Williams said. "It's great. It's good to see. They've got a lot of players from this area that I know. I like that they are ranked and they could play for a national championship."

Two other schools haven't offered yet, but are planning to send him offers in the very near future.
"NC State and Louisville said they'll be sending me an offer this week," he said. "I like NC State because of Keith Willis. He is the first coach I talked to about getting a scholarship. I have talked to Louisville too. They are recruiting Mike Privott and I'm interested in them."
Other schools are intrigued as well including Oregon, UCLA, Florida, Notre Dame and Vanderbilt.
Is Williams considering visits anytime soon?
"I was going to take a visit to NC State this weekend, but because of the storm (Tropical Storm Hanna) I didn't make it. I think I may go to the NC State-Miami game later thie season. That's the only visit I've thought about so far."
Williams has been a key factor in helping Lake Taylor to a 2-0 start.
"I've been doing well," he said. "I have three sacks right now. Most of the teams aren't running to my side. They are keeping the plays away from me.
"I am seeing an improvement. I'm more focused in school and football. I'm playing both sides of the ball."
Williams and Lake Taylor have a big game Friday as they host C.D. Hylton.
