2010 DE McCray visits Wake Forest

Rivals250 to watch 2010 defensive end Zack McCray took an unofficial this past weekend. The 6-foot-3, 216-pounder made his way to Winston-Salem to check out Wake Forest.
"It was cold, but it was fun," he said. "I got to talk to every single one of the coaches. They came up and greeted me even though they lost. They emphasized how I could have a big role in their defense and I could play offense if I wanted. It was nice to know I could play there."

McCray was there for the game. What did he think?
"I was very pleased with the defense, they scored a majority of their points," he said. "They had a great defensive game, you couldn't argue that. There weren't a lot of people there. It was Thanksgiving break, so none of the students were up there."
Overall it was a good visit for McCray.
"It was a nice visit," he said. "The fans there are really nice and I enjoyed my time."
In the meantime, McCray and Lynchburg (Va.) Brookville are preparing for the state semifinals against Richlands Saturday.
"They beat us last year, so it's a little bit of revenge," he said. "We've had a bunch of big games and we have stayed focused. We have not lost our mindset. We want to be 1-0 at the end of the week.
"Last week against Robert E. Lee was a big win. It was a fight and we played amazing. I had two sacks and a bunch of hurries."
