2010 Dallas WR lands second offer

The second official offer is in for one of Texas' most talented wide receivers in the class of 2010. Dallas (Texas) Skyline wide receiver Mike Davis already held an offer from Oklahoma and recently, he picked up offer number two from Iowa.
"Iowa offered," Davis said. "I talked to my mom and she told me. They sent the letter here. The offer should be either at my house or my school. I was expecting it because they send me handwritten letters every day to my house and they email sometimes too. I like them. I know a little bit about them. I like them and I'm going to look into them."

Beyond his two official offers, Davis could have more offers on the way in the near future. His high school coaches have been fielding interest from a number of schools from around the country.
"I don't know when they're going to send offers but my coach was telling me that Texas, Alabama, Oregon and then there's a couple more schools that are real high and interested in me."
Davis is not just a player that has been picking up his offers based on past achievements. The dynamic wideout has been getting the job done on the field as well this fall, putting up some big numbers as a junior.
"I'm playing alright," he said. "They started double teaming me some so it's been a little harder to get the ball and stuff. They've been bracketing me with a safety and a corner but I'm still producing and stuff. I think I have 29 catches for 630 yards and nine touchdowns."
Davis is considering getting on campus to see games at some schools such as Oregon, Oklahoma State and Kansas. The one game, he has already been able to take in was the Red River Shootout between Oklahoma and Texas.
