2009 stud WR talks visits, favorites

Chesapeake (Va.) Great Bridge wide receiver Logan Heastie will likely be one of the bigger names in the 2009 recruiting class. The 6-foot-2, 181-pounder has blazing speed and a solid frame. What has gone on with his recruiting so far?
"I went to North Carolina State already and did well. I also visited Virginia Tech, Tennessee and North Carolina," he said. "Of the visits, I really liked Tennessee.

"The coaches were really friendly and welcomed me with open arms."
Coming up, Heastie plans to go to at least one more camp.
"I'm going to Florida on July 20th for the Friday Night Lights showcase," he said. "I really like Florida a lot too. They've got the warm weather there and I know Percy Harvin who goes there.
"I'm looking for a wide open offense, a style like what they do with Percy, using a quick agile guy that can go out as a receiver and run the ball. I think that's what I do well."
One other school that the rising junior is big on is Florida State.
"I went to Salem before moving over to Great Bridge and got to know Damon McDaniel really well. I know he goes there," he said. "I also am very familiar with E.J. Manuel."
At this time, no schools have given verbals to Heastie although he claims a quick decision could be in order for the right school.
"I'm pretty big on Florida and if they offer I could commit soon after."
