2009 SC athlete hearing from big names

While Galen Bennett has performed well as a quarterback for North Charleston (S.C.) Fort Dorcester, his future is probably at a different position.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pound prospect said scrambling and making reads are his strength behind center, but he knows he'll be playing at another position in college.

"I know I'll probably be playing a different position," Bennett said recently. "Probably wide receiver. I haven't played it before so it will probably be a transition for me."
While it's still early and coaches will have to factor in a position changes, several top programs have expressed an interest in Bennett.
"I'm getting some letters showing some interest," Bennett said. "I've heard from Auburn, Tennessee, South Carolina and NC State.
"I've been looking at a couple of letters (describing) junior days but I'm not sure where I want to go to yet."
Bennett knows what he'll be looking for in a school.
"The biggest thing will probably be the coaching staff," he said. "Then how I'll fit into the offense they'll run."
