2009 receiver Dunbars next great wideout

A year ago Washington (D.C.) Dunbar featured one of the top wide receivers in the country, Arrelious Benn. The school now has another talented wideout who blew up this past season in his junior year.
"We won the championship on Thanksgiving," 2009 receiver Deon Long said. "I did well this year. I went over 1,000 yards on the year. I had 70 catches for 1,118-yards and 17 touchdowns.

"There was a huge difference this year. We didn't have just one player win the game for us, everybody did something. When Arrelious was here, he was the man, without him they had to adjust and everybody has a role. I saw a big improvement. I ran better routes and scored a lot more touchdowns. I do know that I need to work on my 40 time, get that down by next year."
On the recruiting front, numerous colleges have been in touch.
"I've been hearing from Virginia, Connecticut, Maryland, Illinois, Purdue and Syracuse," he said. "I went to Virginia during the season. That was good. They have nice facilities and I really enjoyed it."
What does Long want in a college?
"I want somewhere that has good alumni, great facilities, good teachers and nice people," he said. "Location doesn't really matter."
Obviously there are ties to Illinois. Does he want to go there?
"I don't know," he said. "It would be nice somewhat playing behind Arrelious again, it is good. I got to learn a lot from him."
Long is also a track star who runs the 100 meter and 4x4.
