2009 QB earns Pac-10 offer

Quarterback Jordan Luallen of Greenwood (Ind.) Center Grove has been gaining big time attention in the Midwest, but his offer list is now expanding all the way to the West Coast. Stanford University is the latest school to come calling, and it has grabbed this standout's attention.
"Getting an offer from Stanford was a big honor for me," Luallen said. "Stanford is one of the best schools in the country academically and the coaching staff has the football team in great shape as well."

Stanford had not been a major player in Luallen's recruitment, but when coach Jim Harbaugh talked to him on Monday, that all changed.
"Coach Durkin talked to me on Friday asking me to send my tapes," Luallen said. "Monday morning I spoke to coach Harbaugh, and he offered me a scholarship,"
The Indiana product now boasts offers from Stanford, Indiana and Iowa, and while he denies a leader, he is also including Georgia, Kentucky, Illinois, Purdue and Cincinnati to round out his top eight. When looking at these schools, Luallen noted that academics and the coaching staff will be the two key factors in his recruitment.
Luallen is in the heat of track season, so there are no visits scheduled at this time. However, he did have a general time table for making his decision.
"I really want to finish this process before my season starts," he said. "At that time, I just want to focus on my team and taking us to a state championship."
