2009 prospect up to three offers

La Mesa (Calif.) Helix tight end Levine Toilolo is one of the elite junior prospects in the West. We got our first look at him last spring at the NorCal NIKE Camp and with three offers already on the table, look for a the athlete to be among the most heavily recruited players in the region next year.
Toilolo, 6-7, 235 pounds was one of the surprises at the NIKE Camp at Stanford back in May. He was a late invite to the camp and once we saw him in action, we knew it was the right thing to do. Toilolo has a great frame and we wouldn't be surprised if he eventually outgrew the tight end position and was moved to the offensive line or a down lineman on defense.

In fact, Toilolo is already a very talented defensive end and 13 sacks a year ago but worked out with the tight ends at the NIKE Camp and looked very good. He runs well for a big man, catches the ball with his hands and is a smooth route runner.
On the recruiting front, Toilolo is hearing from schools all over the country and has three early offers, all written at this time.
"Florida, Stanford and Vanderbilt have all offered in writing," Toilolos' father Ray told us. "Levine has also been receiving strong interest from LSU, Ohio State, USC, Alabama, Rutgers and Tennessee. He's going to take an unofficial visit later this month to Florida and is really enjoying the recruiting process right now."
