2009 OT talks offers

2009 offensive tackle Eric Shrive holds five offers up to this point. The Scranton (Pa.) West Scranton lineman picked up his latest offer from the ACC.
"I have offers from Illinois, Rutgers, Pittsburgh, Syracuse and North Carolina State," he said. "I got the one from NC State before the holidays. I visited up there and met the coaching staff. They have nice facilities and are turning the program around."

Despite the offers, Shrive claims no leaders.
"I'm wide open right now," he said. "I'm going to look everywhere.
"I'm hearing from a lot of schools too. I know Notre Dame has been in contact with my coach along with Miami, Iowa, Georgia Tech, Boston College and a lot of other schools."
With no obvious favorites, what is the 6-foot-7, 285-pounder looking for in a college?
"I want to go to a place where I can make an impact early," he said. "I want somewhere I fit in and like the coaching staff."
This season Shrive attended a variety of games to Penn State, Pittsburgh, West Virginia and Maryland.
"Everywhere I went was a great experience. They all left a good impression on me."
This season the Keystone State lineman helped West Scranton to a 12-2 record.
"We had a great year and I had a great time playing with this senior class," he stated. "From this year to last year I got so much stronger and faster, but I still have to work a lot more on my technique and footwork."
