2009 N.C. prospect has three offers

Tucker Windle has the potential to play several positions at the next level and that versatility has college coaches interested.
The 6-foot-3, 220-pound prospect from Charlotte (N.C.) Catholic holds offers from three ACC schools and two are standing out.

"I've got offers from Wake Forest, Duke and Virginia," Windle said. "I'd say Wake and UVa are certainly at the top of the list.
"They're pretty close. I wouldn't say either has an edge. My dad played at UVa. He graduated in '78."
Windle said he could play tight end, H-Back or outside linebacker at the next level.
As a junior for Charlotte Catholic he caught 15 passes for 384 yards and seven touchdowns. Defensively he recorded 54 tackles, four sacks and forced five fumbles.
What's his greatest asset as a player?
"My speed," he said. "Just trying to get to the ball as fast as I can and not giving up on a play."
Coaches from Wake, Duke and UVa have visited Windel in the past six weeks. He plans on attending junior days at Wake Forest and Virginia, and said he would be open to attending junior days at other schools as well.
Clemson has shown interest in Windle and he recently took at visit to North Carolina, where he gave the coaches his information.
