2009 kicker close to first offer
Kickers are often overlooked by those who follow the recruiting process and Jeremy Shelley is one of the best in North Carolina. He may be getting close to his first offer.
The 5-foot-11, 170-pound kicker from Raleigh (N.C.) Broughton has a strong leg and has heard from several programs in the region.

What does the recruiting scene look like so far?
"He's actually got an offer to walk-on at East Carolina already," Shelley's father said. "They want to see him this summer to evaluate him for a scholarship.
"He's talked to Duke so far. I know he's been in contact with Rutgers, Princeton and Brown. Those are the main ones so far."
Shelley also plays soccer and will be planning much of his schedule in the coming weeks based on that sport.
He's being recruited as both a kicker and a punter.
"He's played varsity (football) since his freshman year," his father said. "He'll definitely be recruited to do both."
