2009 ATH Banks rakes in the offers

Offers are piling up for McKees Rocks (Pa.) Montour 2009 athlete E.J. Banks. The 6-foot-0, 180-pounder claims 11 scholarships at this point. Does he have any favorites?
"I've got 11 offers from Colorado, Clemson, Louisville, NC State, Minnesota, Kentucky, West Virginia, Pittsburgh and LSU," he said. "I can't remember the rest. I'm also hearing from Michigan.

"As far as favorites, it depends when you ask me. At the very beginning I liked Rutgers, Kentucky and Clemson, now I'd say Clemson and LSU. It's all even though."
Banks is a cousin of 2008 Michigan commitment Christian Wilson. Will that have any barring on his choice?
"It won't affect me at all," he said. "Basically, I want to go to a smart school where I can play. I want to be on a good team and have a chance for a championship.
"I'm getting looked at as a free safety, cornerback and wide receiver. It doesn't really matter to me. I like both sides of the ball equally."
Banks will be one of many prospects making their way to San Antonio for the Army All-American combine on January 4th.
Meanwhile, this season the Keystone State junior helped his team to a 12-1 record.
"We went to the championship," he said. "It was a cinderella season for us. The last few years we were barely over .500 and all of the sudden we went 12-1. The difference this year was that we had more intensity.
"I did well too. I threw for 1,200-yards and ran for 860 with 14 total touchdowns."
