2008 Texas WR adds first offers

Klein (Texas) Oak receiver DeSean Hales does a little bit of everything.
While his long-term future is really as a speed receiver, Hales has not just been his team's leading pass-catcher. The 5-foot-10, 165-pounder is also the leading rusher on his team. To no big surprise, Hales has also ushered in his first two scholarship offers.

"I've got offers now from Nebraska and Texas Tech," Hales said. "Nebraska, that came on Sept. 1 and Texas Tech, I got that Wednesday actually. I definitely have to keep both of those schools in consideration. I wouldn't mind playing for either."
Though Hales says he's got interest in the first two schools that have offered, they're not in his top five. That group includes Texas, Miami, Georgia Tech, LSU, and Georgia.
"Ever since I was little, I'd watch a lot of football and those were the schools I just always wanted to see," Hales said.
Kansas State, Iowa, Indiana, Arizona State, and Texas are the teams that Hales says sends a lot of mail. He's not going to be deciding anytime soon, so he'll have plenty of time to look over each option thoroughly.
"I just want to explore all of my options before I make any decisions," Hales said.
So far this season, Hales has totaled 486 yards rushing on 58 carries with six touchdowns. He's also grabbed 250 yards receiving and three more scores as a receiver.
Klein Oak is 4-2 on the year with Klein Collins coming up this Friday.
