2008 QB is one to watch

2008 quarterback Wayne Warren out of Salisbury (Md.) Wicomico is a solid prospect. Wicomico head coach David Nettles believes the 6-foot-2, 190-pounder with 4.65-second speed is one of the best quarterbacks in Maryland right now.

"He came into camp last fall far ahead of everyone else," he said. "He's got a cannon for an arm and is a general on the field, yet he's only 15 years old. I'll be honest he's got a lot of maturing left too.
"I believe he's the most sound quarterback in Maryland based on his fundamentals which are unbelievable. He's also got great body potential as I could see him growing to 6-foot-3 or 6-foot-4 player.
"Off the field, you realize how young he still is and there is a lot of innocence left in him. He's a very good kid though with a 3.3 GPA."
During his sophomore season, Warren accounted for over 850 yards and 12 touchdowns. He added 42 tackles and three deflections on defense as a safety. Warren went on to be named honorable mention all-conference.
