2008 OL favors Pitt, Notre Dame

2008 offensive guard Lucas Nix out of Jefferson Hills (Pa.) Thomas Jefferson already holds a few scholarship offers. The 6-foot-5, 260-pounder claims at least two from the Big East and believes there are more.
"I've picked up an offer from Pittsburgh and West Virginia officially offered too," he said. "I'm not sure about others, I know Ohio State appeared to be close and Wisconsin was at the school too, but my coach doesn't let me know all the offers I have yet."

While it appears plenty of programs are showing interest in the junior lineman, one school stands out.
"I love my hometown school, Pittsburgh," he said. "They are very high up on my list. I also like Notre Dame and they are up there too."
"In relation to Pittsburgh, I'm very close with my teammate Dom DeCicco who is headed there. We've been close since we were little and then of course I've got my brother there too. I'd love a chance to play with both of them again. Right now I'm really trying to help Dom sway Chris Drager to Pitt too."
Earlier this season, Nix attended the game between Ohio State and Michigan.
"I went out to Ohio State for that one and it was one of the greatest games I've been to," he said. "I didn't realize until now how big and important that game was. It was incredible out there."
Nix claims he's interested in taking visits to a few other schools this summer.
"I think I'm probably going to try to visit Florida and Southern Cal."
The Keystone State prospect helped Thomas Jefferson to an impressive 14-1 record.
"We were definitely one of the greatest teams to play there," he said. "I think I've been playing pretty well. I think the big things for me this year are that I'm much more of a leader and I'm more consistent than last season."
