2007 Texas DT has big birthday

After last year's four-star defensive end Ugo Chinasa, it appears that the amount of heavily recruited players will shoot straight up at Richardson (Texas) Berkner. The defensive line is one spot that is especially strong and defensive tackle Adrian Campbell has already hauled in the first offer.
The 6-foot-5, 241-pounder received his initial scholarship offer from a school not too far from home. If that wasn't good enough, it started his recruitment on a special day.

"I have an offer from Baylor," Campbell said. "I actually got that one on Jan. 17. That was my first and it was my birthday too, so I was really excited."
His interest in the Bears is definitely high.
"I think it's nice man," Campbell said. "On Jan. 28, I took an unofficial visit down there with some of my teammates. I just like how their program is and everything. Calvin Rubles signed with them and he really knew the campus and where everything is at."
Oklahoma State is another school that has been calling quite frequently and that could be offering soon as well. Campbell was already excited but then his coach told him about another major program that had been calling asking for film.
"Yeah, coach said that Southern Cal was calling for film on Justin Johnson and myself," Campbell said. "That's pretty exciting. I'd like to go see them and I want to check out the Oklahoma State junior day in March as well."
As for a favorite, Campbell says he is still open.
"I haven't gotten to all of that yet," he said about a top team. "I'm still thinking about some places to go this summer and once I get that sorted out, I'll start to think about my favorite schools."
