2007 Texas DB wants to make plays

ARLINGTON, Texas - Along with a top junior linebacker, there is another top junior to watch at Arlington (Texas) Seguin High School and it is also a top defender in cornerback Jamell Fleming. The 6-foot-1, 170-pound prospect is already getting his share of Division I interest.
UCLA and TCU have been mailing Fleming frequently and the top junior knows that he'll have plenty of time for this kind of thing later on. Right now, he's just trying to improve his game.

"It's way too far off to get caught up in recruiting right now," Fleming said. "I don't have a clue what I'm going to do with committing, visits, or anything like that."
He does like one of the teams sending him letters so far.
"I like TCU a lot because I've been to a lot of their games and always have had a good time," Fleming said.
Fleming is a prospect that is dead set on constantly improving. With his junior season getting ready to finish up and his senior season on the doorstep, he is focusing on making sure he leaves high school as the best player he can be.
"A lot of people make assumptions that we're not as good as we should be, but we're trying to stop that," Fleming said. "I'm just trying to be the best I can. Since I started as a sophomore, it's always been a goal for me to keep getting more interceptions each season. I don't have any right now, but I want to finish with a few if I can."
