2007 stud takes two unofficials

Rivals100 2007 wide receiver Jon Ditto out of Monroeville (Pa.) Gateway has helped his team to a 5-1 start. We talked to the 6-foot-3, 205-pounder with 4.5-second speed who thinks he's had an up and down season so far.
"In certain games I'm happy with what I've done and in others I'm not and think I could have done more," he said. "I had to go up against Darrin Walls and other good cornerbacks this year, but it's been fun playing these guys. It's a challenge and prepares me even more for college. I think this year I've gotten a lot faster and stronger. As for our team, we've been playing very well and if we want to get to Hershey we're going to have to continue to improve every week."

Ditto continues to hold six offers from schools including Maryland, Minnesota, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers and Virginia. He has also received plenty of interest.
"I get a lot of mail from Boston College, Notre Dame, Florida State, West Virginia and North Carolina State amongst others," he said. "I grew up liking Pittsburgh and Penn State because they are both close to home and I've been to their games. I don't see that carrying over into my college decision though as there is a lot more that goes into it than who I like. I also have to look at the program, campus and more. Right now, I don't have any favorites."
This season Ditto took in games at Pittsburgh and Michigan so far.
"I went to the Pittsburgh-Notre Dame game and I definitely liked it there, it was really intense and a good playing atmosphere. It doesn't bother me too much that Pittsburgh has struggled. I understand they have a new coach and a lot of good players are coming in," he said. "I also went to the Michigan-Purdue game and that was a good game too. Michigan has a really good school, program and they definitely care about academics."
Later this season the receiver prospect is hoping to make it to Penn State, Notre Dame and Virginia.
