2007 DB has a lot of early interest

Fairmont (W.V.) Fairmont Senior is home to junior defensive back Kyle Allard. The 6-foot-0, 180-pounder with 4.5-second speed has already received some serious interest from schools across the country.
"He's getting letters from Notre Dame, Connecticut, West Virginia, Georgia Tech, Cincinnati, Duke, Penn and Columbia," said Fairmont Senior head coach J.L. Abbott. "I know he doesn't really have any favorites yet. He enjoys recruiting so far and his eyes light up when I hand him letters."

What kind of player is Allard?
"He's probably one of the most coachable kids around and really understands the game," he said. "He's got good strength and speed and was our shutdown corner. I could see him playing cornerback or strong safety in college.
"He's also a great kid and one of the nicest men I've been around. He's got nearly a 4.0 GPA and he's also a two sport athlete that's been talked to by the Atlanta Braves, but I think if he has the choice he'll play big-time football over baseball."
As a quarterback last year, Allard accounted for 2,210 yards and 22 total touchdowns as he was named first team all-conference and honorable mention all-state.
