16 OL Boudreaux continues to rack up offers

There are some high school football prospects who expect the recruiting process come to them, letting the chips fall where they may. Then there's Orlando (Fla.) Bishop Moore offensive tackle Parker Boudreaux.
Boudreaux is a 6-foot-4, 278-pound, three-star recruit taking a proactive stance. He holds nearly 50 D-I offers already, despite being in the class of 2016. To reach such a high number of offers that early, it helps to be good at what you do, of course, and Boudreaux is. He's the No. 24-ranked offensive tackle in the country and No. 39-ranked player in the state for his class.

And while his performance has earned him a lot of his offers, he estimates more than half of his offers were earned by him making the first move.
"I reach out to coaches on twitter," said Boudreaux. "I DM them and let them know about me. That's helped a lot, because it's easier for them if they can't make it to my school."
As demonstrated by all the offers he's received, the coaches he's reached out to have been very receptive.
"They usually tell me they'll watch my film," Boudreaux said. "And they'll watch my film and like what they see, then they'll ask for my transcripts. I'll send those, they look at them and then the coaching staff reviews me and a lot of the times they'll offer."
In just the past week, Boudreaux has added Notre Dame and Iowa to his offers list. He's working to add more schools.
"I'd like to hear from Texas A&M, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, South Carolina and Arizona," he said.
Boudreaux's work to earn offers extends beyond simply tweeting coaches. In his spare time during the season, he and his father are hitting the road hard, sometimes driving great distances, to evaluate schools. He plans to travel outside the Sunshine State to see the games of Georgia Southern, Clemson and Penn State. In-state visits include UCF and Miami.
Boudreaux plans on collecting as many offers as he can, then begin the process of narrowing down schools during the offseason.
"Right now I just want to see who's interested," he said. "I was never expecting to get this many offers."
