Class of 2016 linebacker Jeremiah Moon of Hoover (Ala.) currently holds five offers, with Auburn and Mississippi State standing out the most. He's hoping to hear from two other schools he's been in contact with - Georgia and Alabama - and plans to make at least five school visits during the season to increase his exposure.
"My dad and I are trying to plan them out," the 6-foot-4, 193-pound Moon said. "I'd like to go to Georgia, Alabama, Auburn, Vanderbilt and maybe LSU if I can get there."
Moon put in hard work his sophomore season and in the offseason during camps and 7-on-7 tournaments, and his efforts earned him four stars and a Rivals 250 ranking (No. 164 overall and No. 15 at his position) when the class of 2016 rankings were recently released.
He's expecting his recruiting to pick back up once the season starts and even more so after Dec. 1 when colleges can begin contacting players more.
"Hopefully I'll have some good games and get some calls," he said.
Moon said he doesn't have a leader at the moment, but that could soon change.
"I don't really," he said. "I'll probably have one halfway through the season. I'm just waiting for (my recruiting picture) to clear up."
