16 3-star Boselli gaining momentum

Last weekend, class of 2016 three-star offensive tackle Andrew Boselli of Jacksonville (Fla.) Providence School got a feel for what it means to make an impact at the college football level. He was on hand in Los Angeles for the USC opener, where he saw a former Trojan run onto the field as part of pre-game ceremonies. That Trojan was his father, Tony Boselli.
"My dad is an icon," the 6-foot-4, 307-pound Boselli said. "He's competitive too. He's made me competitive, so now I want to be better than he was."

If this week is any indication, his recruiting process is trending upward. He picked up an offer from Illinois, which marks his fourth offer and he plans on hearing from others soon. He recently spent three days at Florida State and has also had contact with Auburn.
"They're both interested," he said. "They're looking at my film and they want me to come visit."
In the midst of his new recruiting opportunities, Boselli said he's not focusing on that. He's more concerned with how he can help Providence reach higher grounds.
"We have a solid team," he said. "But we're in the same district as Trinity Christian (a team that features five-star Kevin Toliver II and others). So I have to help my team reach our goal of at least seeing the second round (of the state playoffs). That's the minimum."
