15 R100 DB Lewis talks Indiana offer, visits

Rivals100 defensive back Marcus Lewis continues to pick up offers at a steady rate. The other day the junior standout from Washington (D.C.) Gonzaga added Indiana to his ever growing list of offers.
"I talked to coach McCullough, the recruiter for my area, and he let me know about the offer," said the 6-foot-1, 180-pound Lewis. "I know Indiana is an upcoming program. Coach Shelby is looking for guys that can come in and compete in the Big Ten, which is a tough conference. I look forward to getting out there for a visit."

Lewis has planed a few visits for the next month or so.
"On my spring break, which is March 17 through March 27, I'm going to visit Florida State and Miami," he said. "I'm also visiting Clemson on February 1, Virginia Tech on February 8 and Boston College on February 15."
A number of new schools are starting to heavily recruit Lewis, who has already committed and decommitted from Virginia Tech.
"Michigan is starting to come into play," Lewis said. "LSU, Michigan State, North Carolina, Pittsburgh and a lot of ACC and Big Ten schools are starting to come after me but I'm not looking to make a decision until after my senior season.
"I'm really feeling Michigan," he said. "I think they'll offer me next because I'm talking to those coaches a lot. Every school wants me to visit and it's so tough to take a lot of visits but I'm going to do my best to visit as many as I can."
Lewis was interested in Penn State before the coaching changes but now he has to start from scratch with James Franklin's staff.
"I think coach Franklin is a good coach," said Lewis. "He changed that Vanderbilt program pretty quickly. I know that new staff is going to push their players hard to get the best out of them. I know Penn State is trying to get back to what they used to be. Penn State was really close to offering me before coach O'Brien left but I'm not sure what is going to happen now."
Lewis also hold offers from Ohio State, Maryland, Rutgers and others.
