The Latest: Four-star Murfreesboro (Tenn.) Riverdale defensive back Gentry Bonds has offers from some of the country's top programs, but as he nears a commitment he's elected to cut his list to a final five. Bonds spent the past month taking visits and working out for teams and told Rivals.com that he's comfortable with his final list. Ultimately the schools that made the cut are Georgia Tech, Clemson, Kentucky, Nebraska and Missouri. Bonds said the list is in no particular order, but gave a comment about each program he's still considering.

In His Words:

Clemson: "I like Clemson because when I went there I built on what was already a strong relationship with Coach Reed. I like the way he does things in the secondary and I visited campus and liked it a lot."

Georgia Tech: "I like Georgia Tech because I have a good relationship with Coach McCollum. He's from my area and we really click, I also really enjoyed my visit there."

Kentucky: "Kentucky is a great school because I fit well into what they do defensively. Coach Elliot and I have a good relationship and they told me they have a need for defensive backs."

Missouri: "I feel like Missouri would also be a good fit for my skill set. I have talked to Coach Brown and he sees me fitting well into their defense. They have shown me love since I first met them. The first coach I talked to was the head coach, Coach Odom."

Nebraska: "Nebraska is a school with great tradition and a great defensive back coach in Coach Stewart and definitely somewhere I can see myself playing."

Rivals Reaction: Bonds and his family have taken a very thorough approach to the process so unlike most top five lists, expect these to be the final schools in the mix to land his commitment. Bonds said he and his family will visit each option on his list one more time next month, before he announces a commitment prior to the start of his senior season.
